When discussing first steps, our first priority is to discover your needs, understand your vision, and initiate the process to conceptualize and construct your priceless heirloom and conversation piece.

Many of our creations are manufactured from heavy, rough-sawn reclaimed or customary Amish felled lumber, typically 1 ½” – 3” thick.  This particular type of lumber is sturdy, rich in character, and portray a rustic feel accentuated by notable circular saw scars and distinguishing marks from antique honing tools. Regardless of the age, environment, or condition, you can select a look ranging from heavily distressed appeal to a very refined, smooth finish.

At the final stage, select a finishing application that will bring your vision to life. Finish may include rubbed oils, water-based satins, clear epoxy, lacquers, or polyurethane.  As part of our Quality Analysis process, we will source and submit samples of your selected finish on the exact same material, to precisely reflect the result firsthand before final application.

Furniture items with a base, stand, or legs are often sourced from wood, aluminum, or iron. Metal bases are natural or brushed with a protective finish or can be powder-coated to fit and fulfill your desired look. If you have a refabricated base or legs from another supplier, we welcome the opportunity review their design for compatibility and could install if desired.
